This intermediate course has been designed to give students a deeper look into
wine appreciation, and will introduce students to the comparative
analysis of wines made from the same grapes, but from different
countries and regions.
Students will have the opportunity to taste and compare
the classic red and white grape varieties from a number
of old and new world wine regions, gaining an understanding
of the importance of climate, soil, variety and cultural
practices on the wine making process. In addition, a closer
look at fortified and sparkling wines will be included.
Classes are limited to 10; six wine glasses will be provided for use during each class.
The course consists of six (6), 2-hour sessions; one night
a week beginning at 7:00 p.m.
The cost of the course is $150.
Please note that the course will be conducted at a location in the Wrentham-Franklin-Norfolk area of Massachusetts.
