This introductory course has been designed to give students the basics to further
their wine appreciation, and will introduce students to the different regions,
grape varieties, and traditions involved in wine making.
Students will have the opportunity to taste and compare wines from the major
wine producing areas from around the world, including France, Italy, the US, Germany,
Spain, Portugal, Australia and Chile. In addition, this course will cover topics
such as pairing wine with food, decanting and serving, restaurant wine lists,
and proper storage and cellaring.
Classes are limited to 10; six wine glasses will be provided for use during each class.
The course consists of six (6), 2-hour sessions; one night a week beginning at 7:00 p.m.
The cost of the course is $150
Please note that the course will be conducted at a location in the Wrentham-Franklin-Norfolk area of Massachusetts.
