MUSINGS MONTHLY WINE TASTING EVENTS

OUR FEATURED EVENT

The Lost Bottle...A Cautionary Tale...
Saturday, March 28, 2020
Time: 3:00 pm
Location: Wrentham, MA
I recently wrote about a “Cautionary Tale,” wherein, we discovered a bottle of a wine that had been “lost” in the cellar. Tasting the wine showed that it had started its gradual decay… in this case, we caught the last bottle at the point of just beginning to fade… Back in 2013 we hosted an event called The Lost Bottle, where we tasted through several wines that had been “lost,” and then “found” during a cleanup of the cellar. Happy to report that only two out of fourteen wines showed negatively during that event. A more recent cleanup has again yielded another crop of “lost bottles,” so we thought we would conduct the event all over again. To accompany the wines, we will also serve a collection of artisanal cheeses and breads to complement the wines.

The cost: $85
Location: Wrentham, Massachusetts
Time: 3:00 pm

2016 Bordeaux, Part I
Bordeaux is perhaps the best-known wine region in the world, with elegant, age worthy wines celebrated, and imitated across the globe. For the last two decades, Bordeaux has had a string of vintages that have maintained its reputation for fine wine. The most recent and available of these vintages is 2016 – more highly-touted than 2015 and very well-received. At this event we will delve into the first flight of wines from the 2016 vintage and assess for ourselves whether it is worth the hype. Along with several superb 2016 wines, we will also share in a selection of artisanal cheeses and breads.
